One of the many wonderful things about spending so much time at The Thimble is that we’re always surrounded by color. It’s hard not to be be inspired every day and get our hands into the beautiful wool roving, but helping our students and customers takes priority.
Lucky for us, this season we created gift baskets full of felting supplies, which meant we got to spend time finding the perfect color combinations. Are you jealous?
Below are some of the ones that we didn’t end up making a basket with, but we just loved the look of. Let us know if any of these color combos inspired you!
We didn’t just make bundles; we put all of the wool roving from the color combos into a spectrum:
And as we were putting it all away, the color groups looked beautiful all bunched together.
Many of these colors are available for sale in our Etsy shop, but if you’re local the gift baskets that we made these color combos for are still available!
Included in the baskets are:
- A gift certificate for the value of the class fee of the class of your choice
- All fiber and fabric (wool roving, silk scarf, yarns, etc.) needed for the class
- All supplies needed for the class (soap, bottle top sprayer, etc.)
- A voucher for the netting and plastic used in class
- And a basket to take it all home!
You get to pick the class and the colors! And when the basket recipient comes in for class, they can swap out their colors as well, just in case their tastes have changed since they received your gift. Perfect for the creative people in your life!
