Back in April, we celebrated our 11th year in business by hosting our annual student art show. Every year when it comes time for me to write the post re-capping this annual celebration, I find myself at a loss of words. How can I possibly say the magnitude of our gratitude to all of you? What words could come close to expressing how blessed we are to be surrounded by such a sweet community of students, customers, and friends?
To each of you, thank you. Whether you come in and browse and tell your friends about us, or take workshops with us regularly, thank you.
Running a small business is hard. It means working 12,16,18 hour days. It means getting things wrong but trying again the next day. It means putting a lot on the line, but receiving so, so, so much more than you ever expected. We are so honored to serve customers who, to our endless surprise, return to the store time and time again and turn into friends. We never expected to make it to eleven years, not because we doubted ourselves, but because we’ve never exactly seen ourselves as ‘businesswomen’. We may be good at dyeing and felting and all this ‘crafty’ stuff, but when we made this shot in the dark, we didn’t have a lot of experience in running a business. We have learned so much in the last eleven years, and every year we continue to learn and grow and expand in ways we never even dreamed of. We simply wouldn’t be on this journey if it weren’t for all of you. Thank you so much to all of you.

My 2 sisters & I would like to take a class in nano silk scarf or wet small landscape preferably March 12th. What would it cost to arrange such a class. How many must you have for the class?
Hello Sandra!
We’d be happy to try and arrange something with you and your sisters. We currently don’t have anything planned for March 12th so it may work out perfectly. We typically have between 6-10 people per class for the nuno felted scarf and the mini landscape. The nuno felted scarf is $80, and the mini landscape is $125, material costs are not included in either of those prices and typically start around $30. Please feel free to contact us at 916-652-2134 or at classes@thetinthimble.com to continue the conversation, ask any questions you may have or to register you and your sisters! Thanks so much for the inquiry. We hope we can work something you for you girls.
