The Thimble is always changing. Every week pieces get moved from one shelf to another, clothes racks are scooted into new corners, new crates and baskets are brought out and filled, and others put away. Perhaps it is our ambition, perhaps it’s that we need more space, but no matter what it’s cause, we find that we’re perpetually rearranging and adding new ways to display our inventory. This week was no exception.
Sharon and her sister, Claire, constructed a tie rack out of copper pipes. We love the idea of copper, not only because it’s such a beautiful metal, but because Sharon often uses it to make her botanical dyed pieces, including the ties that hang from it. Each one of these ties is botanical printed by hand and can never be duplicated. Talk about a unique gift for the dapper person in your life!
Can you spot the new pieces?
She also, with the help of her husband, made and hung a roof and garment rack from which her big variety of botanical dyed shirts now hang. The steampunk-ish piece above the shirts? Sharon made that a few years back for one of the Summer Handmade Wardrobe Fashion Shows!
We currently have men & women’s botanical dyed shirts in stock in sizes ranging from XS – XXL. Come in and check out our huge variety of quality, handmade gifts this holiday season.
