If you’ve been into the Thimble, you probably recognize these felted wall hangings. Sharon has felted these beautiful pieces over the past couple of years (in addition to some that have sold, and aren’t on display anymore) but just a couple weeks ago, she revamped the way in which they are displayed.
Using wild plum and madrone branches, antique brass hardware and careful hand-wiring, Sharon created a method of hanging each wall hanging that’s just as unique as the art piece that it supports.
After trying curtain hangers, casings and curtain rods, and those little loops with clamps on them, she finally arrived at a way to hang these pieces that is both functional and lovely. We especially love the branches that she cut, cleaned and sanded.
Which one is your favorite?!
