Know how to sew but need help with a project? Need some clarification on a sewing pattern? Made a mistake and you’re scared to take it out? This is the class for you! Students are invited to bring whatever sewing project they’re stuck on and receive some help. All day, Hannah will be in the classroom doling out advice, instilling confidence and helping students get un-stuck and back at the sewing machine.
You are welcome to bring a sewing machine if you have one, but it must have been serviced in the last 6 months. We simply don’t have time to deal with mechanical issues. If you don’t have a machine, but you still want to take the class, you are more than welcome to borrow one of ours!
*Please note: This class is not suitable for garments that need major fit adjustments, students who don’t know how to use a sewing machine, or learning how to use a sewing pattern. Students in this workshop need to be relatively familiar with the project they’re working on and have several hours of sewing experience. Unsure if your project is OK for this workshop? Give us a call at 916-652-2134! We’d be happy to find the best workshop for you and your needs.*
Hannah is the co-owner of The Tin Thimble, has a decade of sewing experience and runs her own sewing website, Palindrome Dry Goods, where she post tutorials and pictures of her handmade wardrobe. Sewing is an absolutely fantastic skill to know and she can’t wait to show you that sewing doesn’t have to be scary or stressful. You’ll leave this intensive sewing workshop feeling confident, encouraged, and excited to sew!
