Wool Club - Thursday, October 9 1:00-3:00

We are excited to announce that we will be having a Wool Club Get-together on the Second Thursday of every month! So bring your wool projects - spinning, felting, appliquing, knitting, crocheting, etc. - and come join in the fun! We want to start inviting guest speakers on a regular basis to keep us informed and inspired. Please RSVP so that we can make sure we have enough room for everyone. We hope to see you there!

Introduction to Spinning - Saturday, October 11 10:30-12:30

Come and learn how to spin wool into beautiful yarn. If you already have a wheel, bring it along. If you don't have a wheel you can observe and give it a go on my wheel. We are so excited here at The Tin Thimble to start a wool club! We want speakers on a regular basis to keep us informed and inspired. We will do some natural dying, spin boucle, learn which breeds spin the softest, most beautiful yarn and most of all just have FUN! A materials list will be available upon registration.

Felted Christmas Stocking - Saturday, October 18 10:00-4:30

Start the Christmas season a little early this year by making a wonderful Felted Christmas Stocking. It is an easy project for a beginner and would make a great gift! As in the other felted workshops held here at the store, every student will leave with their own unique piece completed. Com and join the fun! A materials list will be available upon registration.

Nuno Felted Scarf - Sunday, October 19 9:30-1:30 or 2:00-6:00 - CLASSES FULL

This class will explore making a felted fabric with natural fibers including wool, mohair, silk and angora. You will learn to felt these fibers into a base of silk gauze, silk ribbon, net and other woven fabrics cut into strips. We will use yarn, thread, beads and lots of other things to add texture and color. It's like painting using hand dyed silk fibers and roving with lots of extras added for texture. Material list available upon registration.

Knitting a Christmas Stocking - Saturday, November 1 10:00-2:30

There's no better way to be introduced to sock knitting then to start with a HUGE sock! Learn basic sock knitting techniques while knitting a great Christmas Stocking. Material list available upon registration.

Knitting Circle - Thursday, November 6 6:00-8:00

We will be having a knitting circle on the first Thursday of every month! We hope that this becomes a time for you to share your knitting projects and ideas with other knitting enthusiests. There will be no charge for this monthly event and please feel free to bring your friends. Please RSVP so that we can make sure we have enough room for everyone. We hope to see you there!

Felted Purse or Vessel - Sunday, November 16 11:30-3:30 - CLASS FULL

Learn the fundamentals of felt making (without knitting!) with a simple seamless felted vessel or purse. This class combines a variety of techniques and ideas including unique closures, straps, flaps and needle felted flowers. A materials list will be available upon registration.

Introductory Sewing Lessons

We love introducing people to the joys of sewing. Our introductory sewing lessons will familiarize you with a sewing machine, the necessary tools and notions, reading a pattern and becoming familiar with the usual sewing terms. These classes are taught one-on-one so our students can move along at a pace that makes them comfortable and confident. Please give us a call or come in and visit us to schedule a lesson!

Class Fee: $25/hour (we recommend lessons 2-3 hours long)

Policies

• Classes must be registered and paid for in advance.
• Class fees do not include materials, unless otherwise noted.
• You will receive a class supply list at time of payment.
• Please bring all of your supplies to the first class. Supplies are available at The Tin Thimble and all students
receive a 15% discount on class supplies the day you register and a 10% discount on class supplies
between the day you register and the day of the class.
• Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to set up.
• To receive a full refund for a class that you are not able to attend, a minimum of 7 days notice is required.
If you are not able to give 7 days notice and we can fill your spot from a waiting list, full store credit will be
issued. If you are not able to give 7 days notice, and we cannot fill your spot, no credit will be issued.
• Full refunds will be given if a class is cancelled by The Tin Thimble or an instructor.
