The Tin Thimble is a family-owned and operated creative sewing and fiber arts shop. We believe that there is great value in skilled hand work - we have seen over and over again the restorative, spiritual and confidence building effects of working with ones hands. Here at the shop we make a point to create an inviting and safe place to try new things and express creativity.
Vintage Pattern Collection
Here at The Tin Thimble we are strong believers in vintage sewing. And not only the styles of times past but also the notions, fabrics, buttons, patterns and trims. These wonderful sewing things were made during a time when the importance was placed on quality not quantity, unlike the current state of sewing merchandise. We carry vintage patterns dated from the 30's to 80's. See our selection here.
What We Do
Specializing in felting and vintage sewing, we strive to inspire creativity in others. We carry felting supplies, wool rovings, new and vintage fabric, notions, new and vintage patterns, an assortment of handmade gifts and much more. We teach a wide variety of classes – everything from beginning sewing lessons to dyeing to felting.
Felting and Sewing Supplies
In our Etsy shop, we specialize in vintage and new sewing supplies including fabric, patterns, trim and more. We also carry a large selection of quality nuno and wet felting supplies including roving, specialty fibers, foam, and felting fabrics. Visit our online shop here.
