Hidden Delights

By Lori Everman 2 Comments

One of the many benefits of being on the Tin Thimble team is being constantly surrounded by beauty. Not to brag, but we have people tell us every day how charming the shop is. In the many nooks and crannies, you’ll find interesting pieces that are handcrafted, vintage, or both! We’ve collected some photos of these often over-looked pieces. Have you spotted them all?

Sharon’s barn owl wall hanging watches over our front counter.

There’s something different about our swamp cooler…

Sharon’s wet felted butterfly is huge, but we know there are many who miss it!

Not everyone gets to step into our dressing room- we change up what’s on display every now and then, and it’s hard to see if you don’t go in.

Who steps on art? We do, every day. The wet felted rug holds up beautifully though.

Sierra Mohr needle felted these cuties for us.

How cool are these pieces? You’ll find them in our classroom.

Lorna Ingram painted this beautiful sign for us. Find it over our sails in the back of the shop, by the classroom door.

How adorable is this? Hand made and vintage, just like we like it.

Find this hardworking scottie over our shelves of fabric, slightly hidden by that retro vase and suitcase.

The wooden letters were gifts from Kermit McCourt, and the banner was crafted by our own Sharon.

We have more hat boxes, cool baskets, and funky containers then we know what to do with. Look all over our high shelves to see some of the collection, but know that we have even more in use in the back and in various storage areas.

Those are just a handful of what’s hiding at the shop. Did we feature your favorite? Can you think of anything we left out?

Do you by any chance carry ceramic or porcelain glazed buttons with what looks like a handwritten script on them ? I have a button that I love that was given to me and haven’t been able to find anything like it. I would love another….or two….if I could find them. I was just reading through some of your blog posts and saw your ‘button’ sign in this one, so thought I’d check 😉

Your shop looks delightful. What an inspiring place.

    Thank you so much,
    Dawn

      Hello Dawn,

Unfortunately, we don’t! Best of luck in the search, we hope you find just what you’re looking for. Thank you for asking!
