We always feel lucky when we get a visit from High Hand’s shop cat, Petunia. This time she was fairly taciturn about having her picture taken, so some photos are better than others.
Petunia was born feral, so a completely domestic life would be hard on her and her caretakers. But she’s an excellent mouser and seems quite content with the occasional petting sessions she seeks out.
No need to worry about her though; she’s well-fed, well-cared for, and well-loved. She’s fixed and has had her vaccinations, and should something come up, she’d be treated.
If you happen to see her around the Shed or nursery, feel free to try and approach her. (She’s particularly friendly with Sharon.) But don’t be surprised if she runs away or doesn’t seem keen on being touched. She tends to be pretty skittish. Sometimes she’s in the mood for human attention, and sometimes she isn’t. Just respect her body language. 🙂
We love her surly look and her nicked ear. It’s interesting how her eyes change color based on the light.
We love our Petunia!
Talk to you soon,
– Lori
