When I was little Mom planted a dogwood tree in our backyard. That dogwood tree grew at a glacial pace.
Maybe a centimeter a year, maybe. Every few years, however, it would shoot up and grow a whole two inches in one spring. Watching the Thimble grow since our opening almost seven years ago has been a little like Mom’s precious dogwood. Our growth is slow and steady and then BAM we have a growth spurt! We recently added on a new space to our current location and our little shop looks incredible.
We expanded out over the basement. The boys installed the trusses and just a few days later our remodel was just about complete. They did fantastic work and were so darn quick. Thanks guys!
We installed a wall with a big lovely window to close off the classroom. This allows our classes to be warmer and quieter!
The new view from our counter. Mom scored a fabulous door for the classroom and the sewing supplies have all been moved into one nice, neat, organized space that opened up the rest of the floor.
Our beautiful new wall of silk. Believe it or not, we had all that silk before, it just looks like so much more now, doesn’t it? We love being able to see all the colors and textures that way.
Lastly, Jill was able to expand her jewelry case! If you’re in the area, come in and see the changes! A big thank you to all of our patient customers and students who put up with the noise and sawdust throughout the remodel. We appreciate your continued support!
