Autumn Fiber
Retreat 2011
October 7th - 9th (or 10th)
RETREAT CANCELLED
Due to lack of registrants that Autumn Retreat has been cancelled. Please keep you eye out for the upcoming Mother's Day Retreat.
Downieville, CA

Downieville is a fantastic,
little, mountain town on the confluence of the Yuba and Downie
Rivers with everything within walking distance. Our family cabin
will be where we eat our meals and indulge in all of the fiber
goodness. Lisa Classon, Sharon's daughter & gourmet chef extraordinaire,
will be cooking for us all weekend. Our guests will
either be staying with us in the cabin or in a lodge just across
the way depending on how many people show interest in the retreat.

We have so many ideas for our demonstrations & Discussions!
Here are just a few:
- Wet Felted & Nuno Felted Garment Construction
- Felting! Felting! Felting!
- Spinning! (and we're bringing wheels for anyone who would like
to give it a try)
- Learn all about fibers - Alpaca, Llama, Silk, Cashmere, Linen,
Hemp and some of the new fibers, like Soy Silk.
- Learn how to wash & dye a fleece
We want everyone to bring their projects both in progress and
recently finished. We will be giving some demonstrations to
stir up the creative juices but this retreat is really about what
EVERYONE is working on, thinking about and just recently tried.
So come prepared to share!
