How do I register for a class?  

Please give the shop a call at 916-652-2134 and we’ll sign you up over the phone.  At the moment, we are not set up for online registration.

Do I have to pay the registration fee for a class in advance?

Yes, to guarantee your spot in the class we will need you to pay the registration in advance.

What is your cancellation policy for classes?

For all of our classes, full refunds will be issued if a class is cancelled by the instructor or by The Tin Thimble.

The Tin Thimble is not responsible for travel expenses either to or from The Tin Thimble, including airfare and hotel, in the event that any class is cancelled.  We recommend purchasing travel insurance if you are flying.

Unless otherwise noted, our cancellation policies are as follows-

-For Our Resident Instructors:

(Including but not limited to Sharon Mansfield, Lisa Classon, Emma Farrell, Hannah Mansfield, and Jill Fargen.)

Cancellations made more than 7 days before the beginning of the first day of class will receive a full refund. 

Class cancellations made 7 days to 48 hours before the beginning of the first day of class will receive store credit only.

Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the beginning of the the first day of class forfeit their registration fee and spot in the class unless we can fill your spot from an active wait list.  If we can fill your spot, we will issuse you a store credit at 90% of the original registration fee.

-For Our Guest Instructors:

(Including but not limited to Carin Engen, Melissa Arnold, Leiko Uchiyama, and Tetyana Huffman.)

Cancellations made more than 14 days before the beginning of the first day of class will receive a full refund. 

Cancellations made 14 days or less before the beginning of the first day of class forfeit their registration fee and spot in the class unless we can fill your spot from an active wait list. If we can fill your spot, we will issue you a store credit at 90% of the original registration fee.

-For Our Special/Annual Events:

(Including but not limited to Feltfest and Fashion Week.)

Cancellations made more then 14 days before the beginning of the first day of class will receive a full refund. 

Cancellations made 14 days or less before the beginning of the first day of class forfeit their registration fee and spot in the class unless we can fill your spot from an active wait list.  If we can fill your spot, we will issue you a store credit at 90% of the original registration fee.

Does the registration fee include materials?

Unless otherwise noted, class registration fees do not include the cost of materials.

How do I know what materials I need to bring to a class?

We will give/email you a materials list after you have registered for a class.
