Hey there! I still can’t wrap my head around the fact that 2016 is over. I’ve written 2017 a handful of times now, each time after having to scratch out 2016 and start over. This past year was a good one for The Tin Thimble. As I wrote this post I was filled with joy at each of our accomplishments over the months and we’re so happy to think back on the hundreds of classes we hosted throughout the year.
In January, we hosted Melissa Arnold for one of her final workshops with us before she moved to Montana. We miss you, Melissa!
In February The Tin Thimble was featured in Mary Jane’s Farm magazine.
In March, we welcomed Leiko Uchiyama for two fantastic workshops on her annual trip to America.
In April, we held our Annual Student Art Show and Ninth Anniversary Celebration!
In May, the whole family prepared for, and danced the night away, at Hannah’s wedding.
In June, Sharon had a lovely article in Belle Armoire magazine that made us burst with pride.
In July, we ran for the KCRA A-List in the best arts & crafts category, and placed second. Yahooo! Thank you for everyone who voted for us, and congratulations to Babetta’s for snagging 1st place.
The summer was occupied by our busy hands making things and teaching classes and then in October, we hosted our Fifth Annual Felt Fest. The weekend was such a success with a packed event room, guest instructors and happy students. Thank you to everyone who participated!
We then enjoyed a lovely, busy, holiday season and are looking fully forward to pushing forward in the new year. We’re aiming for another successful year, new customers and creativity abound! Thank you so much to all of our customers, students and supporters. We appreciate each and every one of you, and we hope you know how much we appreciate your business! Happy new year, everyone!
